Back and ready to roll!

As many of you know, we’ve spent the last week in Las Vegas attending the WPPI Expo (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International). For those of you who don’t know what this is, it’s like the Super Bowl of events for Wedding and Portrait photographers. The best of the best from all over the world meet at WPPI Expo each year for a huge trade show, to display their work for judges in the photo competition, gather for a wide variety of classes from experts in the industry (that cover everything from the technical aspects of photography and new trends, to running a successful business), to network with peers in the industry, and to celebrate all the industry has become and share dreams of where we can take it. Over 15,000 international photographers invaded Las Vegas this year!

We began our trip scrambling with the airline to purchase a VERY last minute ticket for our daughter, due to some sudden changes that came up. Although this created new challenges in how we could approach the expo, we still came away with some great new insight that will help lead us in the direction we see our little business going and growing as we move forward. We are always looking for ways to improve our photography, as well as our business practices. We love our clients and we always want to strive to deliver our very best. We have returned home even more determined and inspired, and as this year rolls on, you will see bits and pieces of our experience in Las Vegas shining through.

Since the little one was with us, we did take some time to do family stuff and turn it to a mini-vacation. We took one day to go to Circus Circus and she had a blast!

Good Morning Las Vegas!

Good Morning Las Vegas!

If you happened to be vacationing in Las Vegas during this week, it wasn’t uncommon to see a class or “shootout” going on as you walked the strip. It might have looked something like this.

Las Vegas isn’t the most kid friendly vacationing spot in the world, but you CAN find things to do with your little ones. Here are a couple of images of our personal day we made away from the expo.

And of course one of the most spectacular things about Vegas is the lights at night.

And because we DO need sleep. Good night Las Vegas! We hope to see you again next year, with this year’s experience under our belt for an even more spectacular experience!
